Stage 9. The Laxe-Hill

STAGE 9 TO LAXE-OUTEIRO (VEDRA) We leave the hostel up to the road. We will alternate the path to the left with the mask. We pass under a viaduct. Then we cross the Deza river by the medieval bridge called the Taboada bridge. We go up to the road, where we will find the church of Taboada (if it is open we can seal the credential) and a crossroads. Once again we are going to Trasfontao, where there is a beautiful pazo, the Silleda industrial estate and, finally, the latter town. From Silleda we go by road for a stretch, to turn off to the left following a path. We crossed a bridge over the Toxa river, an underpass over a highway, an overpass over the AP-53 motorway and we reached Bandeira. On the N-525 we leave Bandeira to take the PO-6511 on the right, which we leave to continue along a dirt track. Then a section of road leads us to Dornelas, with its magnificent church. Alternating highway and dirt track we pass through O Seixo and Castro. We then went down a local road to the Ulla river, but not before leaving the chapel of Our Lady of Gundián on our right, of great devotion in the area. We cross the old bridge over the Ulla river and we are at Puente Ulla. From here, along a well-marked path, we will return to the national road, the N-525, to leave it at a detour to the right and start a long ascent of about 4 km to the Outeiro hostel. We will alternate dirt track at the beginning and road at the end.
